Throatlatch

The fold where the head meets the neck, on the underside behind the jaw.

What is it?

The windpipe and major blood vessels pass through the throatlatch, so the horse needs room here to breathe freely. The bridle s throatlash buckles here, loose enough to allow swallowing.
