Floor

The floor is the load-bearing surface the horse stands on, usually with a non-slip mat on top.

What is it for?

It bears the horse's weight and provides grip so it does not slip.

Wooden floors can rot from below through urine and moisture; aluminium floors corrode differently. Check the floor regularly from below and above, because a weak floor is a serious risk. Lift the mats to look.
