Fetlock

The hinge joint below the cannon, with a small tuft of hair behind it (the fetlock tuft).

What is it?

The fetlock absorbs a lot of shock with every stride and can nearly touch the ground at the gallop. Because of the heavy load it is a common site for wear, windgalls and tendon injury.
