Hoof pick with brush
A hoof pick with brush combines the hook with a small brush on the other end.

What is it for?
The hook removes the coarse dirt, the brush sweeps the last dust off the sole and hoof.
Where on the horse?
On the underside of the hoof and along its edge.
How do you use it?
First pick out with the hook from heel to toe, then sweep the sole and edges clean with the brush.
What to watch for
The same care around the frog applies; the brush does not replace picking out but adds to it.
Role in the grooming session
A handy two-in-one for picking out and neatly finishing the hoof.
