Ermine spots are noted separately because they make an otherwise white leg unique. They sit in the white, not in the coloured coat, and can come with striped hooves.

What is it often confused with?

  • Coronet

    A coronet is a narrow white band just above the hoof.

    A sock is white reaching from the hoof to about halfway up the cannon.
