The geometry
The straight line connecting the midpoints of the two short sides, from A to C, running through D, X and G (in the large arena A-D-L-X-I-G-C). X lies exactly in the centre.
Good to know
Every test begins by entering on the centre line at A, usually with a halt at X. The line divides the arena into a left and a right half.
