The geometry

A straight line from a corner letter through the centre (X) to the diagonally opposite corner letter. The classic diagonals are K-X-M, H-X-F, M-X-K and F-X-H; they cross each other at X.

Good to know

By riding the diagonal the rider moves from one long side to the other and changes rein. All four diagonals run through X, the centre of the arena.
